Leonard Else Design Associates Incorporated was established in 1969. The Company specializes in commercial interior design and building renovation. Projects have included office, retail, restaurant, hospital, healthcare facilities and interior and exterior designs for homes. We collaborate with architects and engineers to provide a complete design package. Leonard Else Design Associates provides a total integrated design solution including development of the shape of the space; lighting for the space; functional planning of the space; color and material selection plus furnishings and equipment specification.

Leonard Else, the president of Leonard Else Design Associates, has two Masters Degrees in Design: a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York and a Master of Fine Arts in Design and Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He earned an undergraduate degree in History, Philosophy, and Fine Arts from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, New York. He was Director of Interiors at the sixth largest architecture engineering company in the country, The Smith Group Architects & Engineers. Leonard Else founded the Interior Architecture Program in the College of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University. Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Michigan is one of the largest Universities of Architecture in the United States. He was Director of the Program for ten years and obtained National Accreditation for the program. In addition to directing the Program, he served on the faculty as a professor. Under his direction, his students won numerous national and local design awards for their work.
